Connectivity

The service we provide uses multiple connections to the Internet from high quality backbone providers. Currently, there's a blistering 600 MB/s of bandwidth available on our system! 

BT have the largest IP network in the UK. They are the primary bandwidth provider for our services and currently use a 100 MB Internet connection with them. This service is delivered on gigabit fibre and is diversely routed to two different BT exchanges on different sides of the data centre. The connection is burstable to 155 MB at the flick of a switch. BT is one of the most expensive providers in the UK due to the high quality of their network and ability to deliver the best support and service level agreements. 

While some of our competitors are still using 2 MB or 8 MB connections delivered over unreliable copper wires as their primary connections, our service utilises the additional investment and uses a quality "tier 1" backbone provider ensuring your websites flies onto the Internet at lightening speed, every time.

Telewest are the UK's largest cable company and provides the network backbone for the mobile phone operator, T-Mobile. The Telewest connection used by our service is delivered over Telewest's own fibre and is completely independent of BT's network.

UUNet are one of the larger UK backbone providers and offer excellent service level guarantees enabling us to ensure your Internet service is available 100% of the time.

The internal network is 100% switched running at 100 MB/s with a fibre backbone connecting the data centre and corporate offices. The latest Intel and Cisco switching equipment and routers are used in the data centre.

All of the hosting servers are hosted in this multi-million pound UK data centre.
