SMS Alerts
Basic SMS Alerts (no annual or set-up charge)
The basic SMS alert service will send an SMS message to your mobile phone whenever an email is received to an email address. There is no set-up or annual charge for this basic alert service.
Advanced SMS Alerts (Optional Extra)
The advanced SMS alert service allows you to specify certain rules that dictate when an SMS alert is sent to your mobile phone, for example if the from address is from a certain person, contains certain words in the subject or whenever an email is sent as high priority.
Advanced SMS Alerts is an Optional Extra and this is charged per year as shown on our prices page.
SMS Alert settings are available from your Control Panel under 'Email' settings. If you are an existing customer and SMS Alert settings do not appear in your Control Panel, please contact us to ask for this to be added to your Control Panel.
Setting Up Advanced SMS Alerts:

1 - Enter the full mobile phone number where you would like to receive your SMS Alerts, in the box Mobile number to receive alerts.
2 - To use an email's subject line to determine which emails cause SMS alerts: enter the subject line text in the when the subject line contains field, and click on the Add button to add it to the list. An SMS alert will be sent for every email received that has a subject line containing one of the character strings in the list. For example, if you add 'IMPORTANT' to the list, all emails containing the string 'IMPORTANT' will generate an SMS alert. Note that this is not case sensitive, so 'important' and 'Important' will both work.
3 - To use the email address of the sender to determine which emails cause SMS alerts: enter part of the email address in the or the from address contains field, and click on the Add button to add it to the list. An SMS alert will be sent for every email that comes from an email address containing one of the character strings in the list. For example, if you add 'sales@anydomain.com' to the list, emails that come from sales@anydomain.com will generate an SMS alert. If you add '@anydomain.com' to the list, all emails coming from the anydomain.com domain will generate an SMS alert.
4 - If you want to receive SMS alerts for all high priority emails select the or the email is marked as high priority option.
5 - When you have finished specifying which emails are to generate SMS alerts, click on the Update Settings button, and then on the Cancel button to return to the POP3 Mailbox Settings page. You can now set-up SMS alerts for another POP3 mailbox if you wish.
Please note that there is a small charge for each SMS sent to your phone, which will appear on your phone bill. This is 25p per SMS at the time of writing but please check your Control Panel or contact us for the current price.
