Email Virus Scanning
You can set-up automatic virus scanning on email sent to an email mailbox. The virus scanning operates on the border of our network and incoming messages are checked before they reach your inbox.
We are able to provide industry-leading virus scanning for email messages using our own in-house technology.
A virus can spread via email messages extremely quickly. In May 2000, a virus called 'Loveletter' spread to thousands of users world wide in a matter of hours. Email borne viruses are becoming an increasing problem for Internet users.
We are able to offer automatic virus scanning on all email messages sent to mailboxes hosted on our system. The scanning is done at the network gateway level and is seamless to users. If a user should receive a message containing a virus, they are simply sent a generic notification and the message is placed in a quarantine area for inspection later.
Our system automatically updates in real-time with the latest virus definitions supplied by multiple virus scanning vendors.
The service is supplied at excellent value for money and once installed on a mailbox, all messages sent to that mailbox/email address are protected.
This service is supplied as an Advanced Mailbox which includes virus scanning and spam filtering.
